It’s holiday song time!
I absolutely love when wherever you go, you hear a holiday song. This definitely drives my husband crazy. He hates driving with me because I’m definitely tuning into to the 24-hour holiday stations.
Recently, on one of those stations, I heard a conversation about the worst holiday song. Luckily, I was alone because I was yelling in the car. Sometimes it was in fervent agreement, sometimes because I was appalled at the choice of a hated song.
Since we’re all about the music here, we thought a post about it made sense!
To get started, here are a couple of mine. Although both of my lists are much longer, I’m only going to share my two tops in each category.
First, my most hated:
The Christmas Hippo Song by Gayla Peevy
OMG, I hate this song!! That voice, the lyrics, I mean…what is good about it?? Awful. Everyone must agree on that one. This next one though might get some backlash…
Snoopy’s Christmas vs. The Red Barron by The Royal Guardsmen
Why is this a Christmas song? If you love this one, please explain that to me. And then, explain why on earth you like it.
Here are my two all-time favorite holiday songs:
The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
This is the ultimate classic Christmas song. I love it. If you don’t like this song, I really feel bad for you because it must be hard to go through life without ears. LOL. Really though, I’d love to know why you don’t like it.
Merry Christmas, Darling by The Carpenters
I love just about every Carpenters Christmas song but I this is my favorite. Now, I can see why this one may not be yours or even any of the Carpenters’ selections.
